We are delighted to announce our appointment by acclaimed chef Aiden Byrne and his wife, Sarah, to design LI~LY, their first independent, fine-dining restaurant, which is now open and taking bookings!
Set in a Grade II listed Tudor building on King Street in Knutsford, LI~LY brings a fresh, intimate dining experience to the Cheshire area, combining culinary excellence with elegant, bespoke design.
This highly anticipated restaurant marks a significant return for Aiden and Sarah to their roots of experience-led, fine dining. Inspired by Knutsford’s River Lily – the smallest river in Europe, LI~LY promises to be an exclusive, inviting space where guests enjoy personalised service and exquisite cuisine within an environment that captures the area’s unique charm and heritage.

“Working within a historic building like this one which dates back to the 1700s, provides a unique opportunity to blend heritage with modern elegance. The design for LI~LY will incorporate light, warm tones with subtle accents of gold, maintaining the character of the Tudor-style building while introducing a fresh, contemporary feel.”
Aiden Byrne’s culinary reputation and achievements are celebrated in the UK dining scene, having earned his first Michelin star at age 22, making him the youngest British chef to do so. With LI~LY, Aiden and Sarah are creating a destination restaurant in Knutsford that combines authentic regional flavours with high-end design in a historic, beautifully restored venue.
The interior design for LI~LY features a colour palette of ivory, cream, and gold, reflecting the natural surroundings and adding a sense of warmth and sophistication. The design also incorporates gentle, flowing elements inspired by the River Lily creating a sense of intimacy and connection to the region’s heritage.
